This patient came to us in pain and in need of a root canal, and with a lot of fear of dentistry in general. Our primary goal was to get her out of pain, and make her comfortable coming to the dentist again. There are three photos here, the first is with her natural, discolored tooth. The second is with the Biotemp temporary Dr. McMaugh gave her while we were working on her tooth so that she could feel confident again with her smile. Before placing her final crown Dr. McMaugh also did some gum work to make sure her smile was perfect. If you look at all three photos you can see a drastic difference from the original to the final beautiful product. Not only is she out of pain, but she now has a beautiful smile and has lost any fear of going to the dentist.
Dr. McMaugh has been my DDS since 1988, almost 30 yrs. I would never think of using anyone else. He is outstanding and really tries for perfection. He has done crowns, fillings, and three implants without any problems. With a fear of injections, he is terrific with the 'block' to be sure there is no pain during the procedures. Finally, he and his staff are a pleasure to work with, even when I have called for an emergency apt. which has occurred 5-6 times over they three decades they will get me in their office within 24 hrs at least to alleviate the pain, if not fix the problem.
His quote to me in 1988 holds true for all patients "10% of the work to keep your teeth is mine the remaining 90% is yours."
